Kingsford Gains a new Platform!!!

Yes! Kingsford now has 4, yes, FOUR platforms!
After nuch pain staking work from volunteers, the platform was opened at the Thomas Day, with the first train into the platform being the Virgin Trains Rake. Driver Jack Gordon was very pleased!
Kingsford now has One Bay Platform, One Up Platform, One Down Platform, and One Bi-Directional Platform.
This amazing feat was achievd by moving the station back, and extending Platform One (The old Bay Platform) through to the mainline. This became Platform 2. A new platform has been built alongside the station, and this is now Platform One Bay.
Platform 2&3 have become 3&4.
Kingsford is now teeming at the seams, and is a hive of activity! All we need now is for the mainline to re-open through to Forbes!

GWR Pannier Tank

The Pannier Tank has been declared unfit for service by HMRI today. On inspection of it's exterior, major cracks were found - and that was before even looking inside the boiler. The boiler is pretty much completely corroded, meaning that we are down another loco. Luckily, with the arrival of BR 238, it shouldn't be too bad. The revised stock rakes are as follows:
25+GWR 4-Wheel+Coke+Conflat+Brake (Mixed Goods Rake)
58+HAA+HBA (Coal Rake)
47+VT Rake
20+GWR 4-Wheel Rake
08+Blue/Grey Rake
0F+Maroon Rake
BR 0-4-0+Carmine&Cream Rake
SR 0-4-0+Toad
Thomas+Sodor Rake
Percy+Sodor Goods Rake

A dip in the archives... and a few new pics

Yes! It's that time again, when we dip into the vast photo collection and publish some here. This months selection can be seen below. All are captioned.

1. This is one of the many Plate Layers Huts on the Railway, used for various purposes. This particular one is an S&T dump, thus the Brakevan in the background!
2. This is a view towards Crystal Bay from Platform 2. The Carmine and Cream stock was in 3-Car formation for a private charter.
3. Kingsford Station... Isn't it lovely with it's prototypical Station Signs?
4. The WHSmith on Platform 3. Anyone want to buy a paper? (Actually, it is now the gift shop!)
5. The new loco taken from the end of Platform 2.
6. An overview of the Loco Yard - Can you spot which loco is which?Send your answers to kingsfordstation@gmail.com, and if they are correct you could win a driving course with either D8135, 47845, 08375, 80, 7 or Thomas!

Two New Features...

We present to you, in Beta format, the Blog Search and the new & improved monthly poll!
The poll will change every month, to something relevant to the Railway's improvement, and the search feature will replace the old archive. You can now search any term you want, and then choose the correct one from a range of options.

Please do be aware that these features are only in Beta mode, so we may experience some difficulty due to teething problems. The trial period will last until the 12th August, whence we will make a decision on how to continue.

The new loco has arrived!!!

The new loco, as stated previously, has arrived, and is currently on Kingsford Car Park awaiting space to move it into the main loco sidings.

The loco will join the main operational fleet immediately, and will be used mainly on Brake Vans/Mk. 2 Coach operations.

An updated stock list will follow shortly.

66200 Departs...

66200 has departed, along with all 4 Intermodal wagons, the two P&O containers, one Hamburg Sud container, and the shell tanker, with a full tank of fuel.
The 66200 is also full of fuel, in an aim to reduce costs for the SVR.
